My Story

Raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, MiKayla grew up with a knack for art. She became immersed in the professional theater community at a young age; performing with companies such as American Idol, the History Theatre, the Pillsbury House and the Children's Theatre Company.

MiKayla is a proud alumni of the BFA Musical Theater program at Pennsylvania State University. Since graduation, she led the national tours of Henry Box Brown, and Rosie Revere Engineer & Friends, and expanded into the commercial and print world, where she can be seen in/on the high end fashion magazine, Dreamy.

She also had the incredible opportunity to be in several new works including; The Lucky Boy as Mc Gramma by Kirsten Childs, Love in Hate Nation as Judith by Tony-Nominated writer Joe Iconis, and Tyrants as Laura Keene by Alexander Sage Oyen.

When she’s not performing, you can find her continuing her studies in holistic nutrition (now certified), teaching acting to young professionals, writing screenplays with her bestie, and traveling the world with her Great Dane, Milkshake.
